1.Quick summary

• The app works 100% offline for your hobby data (frogs, cultures, clutches, photos).
• There is no user account, no login, no registration.
• We only share data with third parties for four specific purposes: weather, purchase validation, promotional codes, and technical crash reports.

2.Data stored locally on your device

The following is stored only on your phone (local memory and filesystem). It never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app:

• Information about your frogs, cultures, clutches and sightings.
• Photos you take with the in-app camera.
• App settings (language, theme, notifications, alerts).
• PRO mode state (purchases, trial, redeemed code).
• A local installation ID (not linked to your identity).

3.Data sent to third parties

We keep this to a minimum. These are the only cases:

3.1 WeatherAPI.com (weather data)

• What is sent: the geographic coordinates of the natural habitat of the species you are viewing. NOT your real location. Example: if you view a Dendrobates auratus, we send Panama coordinates.
• When: only when you open the "Now in your jungle" screen.

3.2 Our server (purchase validation and promotional codes)

• What is sent:
  • To validate a purchase: your Google Play purchase token and the product ID.
  • To redeem a promotional code: the code and a random installation ID (not linked to you).
• When: only when you buy Dendro PRO, restore a purchase, or enter a promotional code.

3.3 Google Play Billing (payments)

• What is sent: the data required to process your purchase (handled by Google, not by us).
• When: when you buy Dendro PRO or restore a previous purchase.
• Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

3.4 Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports)

• What is sent: if the app crashes, an automatic report is sent containing the error stack trace, device model, Android version, and an anonymous Firebase installation ID. Your hobby data and photos are never sent.
• When: only when a crash occurs.
• Operator: Google LLC (firebase.google.com/support/privacy)

4.What we do not collect

• Your real location (GPS / WiFi).
• Personal identity: name, email, phone, age.
• Contacts, messages, microphone.
• User account (there is no registration).
• Analytics data (Firebase Analytics is disabled).
• Advertising identifiers.
• Browsing history or activity outside the app.

5.System permissions requested

• Camera: optional, only if you want to take photos of your frogs.
• Storage (gallery): optional, to pick existing photos.
• Internet: for weather, purchase validation and crash reports.
• Notifications: optional, for culture and sighting alerts.

All optional permissions are requested when needed, not at install time.

6.Your rights (GDPR / similar)

Although most data stays on your device:

• Access / portability: export a copy from Settings > Backup > Export.
• Full deletion: uninstall the app — all local data is removed.
• Selective deletion: delete individual frogs, cultures or clutches from inside the app.
• Data held by third parties (our server, Firebase, Google): contact us at thejollysky@gmail.com and we will make reasonable efforts to remove your installation ID from our records. Firebase data is automatically deleted after 90 days by default.
• California residents (CCPA): you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

7.Minimum age

Dendro is designed for adults and users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8.Retention

• Local data: until you uninstall the app.
• Crash reports in Firebase: 90 days.
• Purchase data in Google Play: per Google policy.
• Promotional codes on our server: kept indefinitely (no personal data).

9.Changes to this policy

Any material change will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. We will notify you inside the app for important changes.

1.Using the app

You can install and use Dendro on your personal device for your personal use, for free, with optional Pro features available for purchase. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control.

2.What you should not do

Please don't:

• Try to reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code.
• Resell or redistribute the app or its content as your own.
• Use the app to misrepresent the origin, lineage or health of animals you trade with other hobbyists.
• Abuse promo codes (e.g. mass-redeem, share codes intended for others, or use bots).

3.PRO mode and purchases

PRO mode unlocks unlimited dendros, unlimited cultures, data backup and all accent colors beyond the free tier.

PRO is available as three purchase options processed through Google Play:

• Monthly subscription (auto-renewing).
• Annual subscription (auto-renewing).
• Lifetime (one-time purchase).

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your Google Play account; the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds, when applicable, are handled by Google according to their refund policy.

Promo codes can grant PRO time or permanent PRO access. They are not transferable and we may invalidate codes that are clearly being abused.

4.This is not professional advice

Dendro is not professional veterinary, biological or husbandry advice. The species data, habitat information, breeding suggestions, weather readings and care reminders it shows are reference material to help organize your hobby — they are not a clinical or scientific assessment.

If you have concerns about the health of your animals, please contact a qualified reptile/amphibian veterinarian or an experienced breeder.

5.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Dendro and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any decisions you make about the care, breeding or trading of animals based on what the app shows. The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

6.Service availability

We try to keep the app and the small services it talks to (weather data, promo codes, purchase validation, crash reports) running, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime. Some features may stop working temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. Third-party services we rely on (WeatherAPI, Google Play, Firebase) have their own terms and availability.

7.Ending the agreement

You can stop using Dendro at any time by uninstalling it. We can stop providing the app or the related services at any time. If you uninstall the app, all the data on your device is removed. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately from your Google Play account; uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.

8.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any change. If a change is material, we will tell you inside the app.
